Planting Suggestions
Perennials spread easily in suitable conditions to form well
established clumps and annuals can be sown to provide further
summer colour in an otherwise uncultivated bed. Herbs and
vegetables are often mixed in with the flowers as companion plants
to ward off pests if there is no space available for a separate
kitchen garden (eg marigolds interplanted with tomatoes to repel
greenfly).
