responsible sourcing

BRADSTONE

The name responsible for making your decision easier.

As a product of Aggregate Industries, consideration is at the forefront of developments to increase the sustainability of garden landscaping materials.

This journey commenced a decade ago, when the company took the decision to focus on and invest in developing sustainable solutions across our comprehensive range of innovative building products.

THE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE

Chances are, you’ve heard mentions of responsible sourcing in the news.

In very straightforward terms, responsible sourcing is all about measuring the specific environmental, economic and social impacts of any product, taking into account such factors as its manufacture, delivery, use, re-use and recyclability.

The good news is that Aggregate Industries was the first company in the world to achieve the BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing Certificate from BRE Global.

What does this mean to you? Well, with this unique status, you can have absolute confidence that our products have been responsibly sourced and that you’re getting the construction industry’s most sustainable and future proof solutions.

In short, you don’t just know what you’re getting – you also know where you’re getting it from.

Responsible sourcing is just one of many important environmental steps taken by us.

Ethical trading policy

When you see the ethical trading logo its your assurance we are working harder than ever to fulfil ethical obligations when trading with other nations and to comply with local laws and internationally recognised standards.

As a group, we support the principles of the UN Global Compact and ETI basse code. This is reflected in our policy and code of practice that aims to ensure that we, together with our suppliers, fulfil our obligations and responsibilities in order to maintain long term benefits to all our parties.

Examples of the criteria our suppliers have to meet are:

  • Prohibition of child labour
  • Provision of safe and healthy workplaces
  • Provision of all employment rights
  • Prohibition of bonded or forced labour
  • Paying wages that meet or exceed national legal standards
