Behind the Scenes at Bradstone - Justin
By The Secret Gardener
This week on our blog we are joined by Justin. Justin is one of our Installer Sales Managers and has been with Aggregate Industries for 3 years and has over 20 years experience in the hard landscaping and construction industry.
What is your role at Bradstone?
I am an Installer Sales Manager for the West Midlands and North of England up to North Yorkshire. I love my current role because I see such a range of jobs and use of our paving, from small commercial parking lots to large private gardens. It is great to see all of the designs coming to life.
The Bradstone Assured scheme is a network of approved and accredited landscapers that have been assessed on previous jobs, subjected to reference checks and scrutinised to ensure they have valid professional indemnity and insurance policies. Meaning you can always turn to a
Bradstone Assured installer with confidence, knowing they have been approved by us. You can find out more information on our assured scheme here.
What have you been up to during lockdown?
I am grateful as I had time to homeschool my 3 daughters, though a nice time for bonding it took a lot of patience! I did however relearn bus stop division after 40 years! During this time we also adopted a new dog called Isla so I was kept on my toes. Working from home has been a completely different way of working but it means I can still be there when my installers need me, I’m itching to get out there and see what they’ve been up to.
What is your favourite Bradstone product?
My favourite Bradstone product would be without a doubt our Monksbridge block paving. I feel it is extremely under-rated, it looks great both wet and dry and really transform every property I’ve seen it on! It gives great performance at a really competitive price too!
Our Monksbridge paving features subtle hues and authentic weather worn appearance making it the ideal solution for the rumbled look without the added cost. It is available in five shades, all of which come in a pack that includes four different shades. Find more information on our Monksbridge range here.
What was your favourite Assured project of 2020?
With everything going on this year I haven’t managed to see many jobs in person which is a shame but luckily many of our installers share their projects online. I like to see the different laying techniques our installers have used. I feel it is always good to inspire customers if they can see the ideas come to life. My favourite project so far is still being worked on - it is by Reece Landscapes in Cheshire. It is a large garden makeover using our Mode Profiled paving accompanied by our walling slips, steps and edging and Granite setts. I feel landscaping features are overlooked in garden projects but they are really important and completely change the look. With a custom made outdoor kitchen area and large pond with waterfall it will look spectacular when finished.
