Mediterranean magic - Capture a little bit of Chelsea 2014

Be transported to another world with a mediterranean inspired garden just like my garden at Chelsea Flower Show this year which used a range of Bradstone paving...

Tuscany pavers add a light, bright appearance with their look and feel of natural travertine. This paver gives a great rustic feel and is ideal for laid back terraces.

If you're after something a little more contemporary and glossy then the sophistication of Smooth Natural Sandstone liner paving will add instant wow factor.  I used it in the Chelsea Garden as a paved terrace in the Loggia and also as a long edging band.

Combing paving with gravels and decorative stones will provide defined pathways for walking from area to area. Border these with sweet smelling lavender, fragrant rosemary and silver leafed, fluffy lambs’ ears for a truly Mediterranean feel.

Plants that are evocative of a warmer clime, palms, phormiums and lemon verbena with its pungent scent can also be added either into existing planting scheme or in large containers.

If you're feeling like a total revamp then consider adding height and definition with modern walling, this could be to create a raised bed for BBQ herbs but either way by not seeing all of the garden at once, the space will feel much larger!
