BBC Gardeners' World Live 2014

BBC Gardeners' World Live 2014

The BBC Gardeners’ World Live Show has the aim of “Sharing the best in Gardening” and is run concurrently with the Good Food Show Summer at the NEC in Birmingham.

The show attracts upwards of 100,000 visitors each year, where celebrities from the gardening world conduct demonstrations throughout the four days of the show. This year, BBC gardening experts Monty Don, Carol Klein, Joe Swift and Rachel de Thame presented in the Gardeners’ World Theatre.

Bradstone were positioned just outside the main entrance of the NEC where we showcased our attractive Natural Sandstone paving throughout the course of the show.

Supporting the designers of the future

We were also proud to sponsor talented gardeners at this year's show including the RHS competition winner's gardens, called Metamorphosis “A Design Journey”.

The designers are challenged to be as innovative as possible within the boundaries of a set list of materials. Each have the same budget and same materials to form their Metamorphosis garden designs, including Bradstone's StoneMaster paving and Panache walling ranges.

Congratulations go to Jo Jemmison for her garden 'Heightened Senses'. This winning design included colourful perennials, grasses and stately evergreens planted in stylish raised beds. An inspired water feature of half pipes added sound and animation.

The RHS Show Manager, Jenny Jenner, commented "I wanted to write to say thank-you to Bradstone on behalf of the team at BBC Gardeners’ World Live for supplying beautiful product for the Metamorphosis Show Garden Competition in 2014. The show opened its gates to fantastic weather leading to an exceptional show week with over 95,000 visitors and feedback so far has been very positive. The Metamorphosis Show Gardens continue to be a hit with both visitors and the media".

In addition, we also sponsored gardener designer Owen Morgan (2013 Metamorphosis competition winner) with Old Town paving and Highland Pebbles for his RHS Silver Gilt medal winning garden, "Silent Spring - A Wildlife Garden".
