Judged to the same RHS standards as Chelsea, this stunning garden was awarded 'Gold' and 'Best in Show' at the show which attracted thousands of gardeners from all over the country. The garden featured a woodland area with a firepit set into the Bradstone paving and housed a tent that doubled as a den. "It's just you, dad, the dog and a packet of marshmallows to toast on the fire. Bliss."
To complete the theme there were dipping ponds and a play lawn for a game of boule or skittles with grandad. Additionally, vegetables in a family garden were planted at the front of the garden. All of these were an intereptation of precious childhood moments, especially relevant as the final day of the show is on Father's Day. As a final touch, all the main elements of the garden, including the Bradstone paving were donated to Greenfingers which creates gardens for children in hospices all over the country.
